Agathos, a Series A-stage health analytics startup, is looking for a Senior Business Development Lead to help take two new product lines to market, furthering Agathos’ impact on enabling physicians to deliver better care in all environments.

Agathos has the data, partners, and domain experts to help lead the transition to a sustainable health and economic model for the industry. We are backed by leading healthtech VCs and have strong traction among some of the nation’s most advanced health systems. We seek your skills to help make this vision a reality.
As a Senior Business Development Lead, you will work side by side with the founding executive team to generate qualified leads, support deal management, and conduct market research for Agathos’ two newest product lines, Agathos Engage and Agathos Continuity. You will help to design and drive commercial outreach with a high-touch, account-based sales approach.
Key Responsibilities

Market Research and Sales Strategy:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify customer segments and develop outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with the founding team to hone messaging for ideal client profiles and contacts
  • Share insights with the marketing team adapt sales materials and collateral

Lead Generation:

  • Research target accounts and confirm key buyers
  • Conduct outreach to key buyers at target accounts (e.g., cold calling, LinkedIn, events)
  • Attend conferences and other networking events
  • Schedule 12+ qualified meetings per month towards the shared quarterly goal of 15 SQLs (subject to change)
  • Use Hubspot to track and optimize daily sales activities

Deal Support

  • Support lead qualification and follow-up
  • Accelerate deals across the pipeline via scheduling follow-ups and advising on strategy
  • Collaborate on proposals, presentations, business case development, and contracts
  • Track and report key metrics for the sales team

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., phone, writing, in-person presence)
  • Self-motivated, independent problem solver, and a quick learner
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong interest in digital health, the healthcare industry, and entrepreneurship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (and/or Google Slides)
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) is a plus
  • Clinical experience is a plus
  • Previous healthcare sales experience is a plus
