Full-Stack Software Engineer - React/React Native

BallerTV is a venture-backed startup building the world's largest sports network from the ground up. In 2022, BallerTV live streamed over 400,000 youth basketball, volleyball, soccer and lacrosse games, powered by groundbreaking autonomous video capture and logistics technology. Similar to the early days of ESPN, BallerTV is rapidly expanding the spectrum of sports coverage and changing the landscape of sports broadcasting.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Stack Software Engineer with proficiency in React/React Native. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our consumer-facing products, including our website and iOS and Android applications. You will work end-to-end across our tech stack which includes React, React Native, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and AWS, bringing your expertise to build new products and improve user experience. Key Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or comparable working experience).
3+ years of professional experience shipping applications using React/React Native.
Proven experience with full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end technologies.
Strong initiative and ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Solid experience with Agile development methodologies, including weekly/bi-weekly sprints and Scrum.
Working knowledge and proficiency in software development tools like Git, GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
Exceptional team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, with an emphasis on user experience.
Bonus: Experience with Ruby on Rails/AWS.

Responsibilities

Collaborating closely with our engineering and product teams to bring the innovative features from our ambitious roadmap to life. - Upholding a high standard of code quality, ensuring our codebase is clean, well-documented, and consistent.
Implementing pixel-perfect UIs that faithfully reproduce our design vision, contributing to a seamless user experience.
Architecting and implementing RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails to deliver robust features for our web and mobile applications
Actively participating in weekly sprint cycles, including daily standups and sprint retrospectives, to drive forward and continuously improve our development process.
Leveraging modern tools such as Jira, Slack, GitHub, and Google Docs to facilitate effective collaboration and efficiency in our work.
