Job Summary:

As the Visual Merchandiser at Cider, you'll bring our brand world to life on the sales floor. You'll lead visual merchandising strategy, inspire the team to deliver a compelling and on-brand store environment, and partner closely with store leadership to create a shopping experience that's as aesthetic as it is unforgettable. Job Description:

Brand Experience & Visual Storytelling

  • Act as a brand ambassador, reflecting Cider's values and leading the creation of an engaging, visually dynamic in-store experience
  • Drive forward-thinking merchandising, display, and outfitting strategies that captivate the Cider customer
  • Support the Store Manager in developing local event programming that resonates with the community and drives brand engagement
  • Leverage in-store marketing and omni-channel tools — including POS, RFID, and the Cider App — to deliver a seamless customer journey
  • Encourage the team to build lasting customer relationships through personalized styling, product recommendations, and shared interests

Leadership & Team Development

  • Train and coach the team on visual standards, merchandise placement, and styling techniques that drive sales metrics
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty, leading zone engagement, driving team performance, and making real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of top talent; build team bench strength through thoughtful mentorship and timely feedback
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth

Visual & Business Operations

  • Analyze business opportunities within product placement, outfitting, and stock levels using company tools; take initiative to act on insights
  • Collaborate with key partners to execute shipment processing, restocking, and product placement while maintaining Cider's visual standards
  • Ensure omni-channel orders are processed accurately and on time
  • Support scheduling, payroll, and daily zone planning to optimize floor coverage and operational efficiency
  • Uphold store safety standards, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention protocols

Communication & Collaboration

  • Lead with an inclusive, people-first approach; ensure the team feels heard, supported, and informed
  • Facilitate daily team meetings to share product knowledge, visual priorities, brand messaging, and event updates
  • Provide the Store Manager with customer and floor-level insights on product, presentation, and events
  • Stay current on interoffice communications and ensure key company information cascades effectively to all team members

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of visual merchandising and leadership experience in a retail environment
  • Strong eye for styling, display, and trend-forward visual execution
  • Passion for the Cider brand and deep understanding of Gen Z fashion culture
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up minded environment
