About Cider
Cider is a global fashion brand built around self-expression, creativity, and making fashion accessible to a new generation of consumers. With a digitally native foundation and a highly engaged global community, Cider is evolving into an omnichannel brand, bringing its distinctive fashion experience to customers both online and in physical retail environments.
Following the opening of our first U.S. retail stores in Los Angeles and San Jose, we are entering an exciting new phase of retail expansion, with additional domestic and international locations planned for 2027.
As we build our physical retail presence, we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial retail marketer to help establish and scale our retail marketing capabilities.
What You'll Do
1. Retail Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Build and run an integrated retail marketing calendar across seasonal campaigns, product launches, local activations, and store openings.
- Turn Cider's broader brand and digital marketing into retail-specific programs that move the needle on traffic, conversion, and retention.
- Manage retail marketing budgets and ensure spend is tied to measurable business impact.
2. Local Store Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Own local marketing for our LA and San Jose stores — and the next ones we open.
- Build relationships with shopping-center marketing teams, local businesses, community organizations, and creators to drive foot traffic and qualified acquisition.
- Work with Influencer Marketing to activate local creators; work with CRM and Growth to bring our existing digital audience into stores.
3. New Store Opening Marketing
- Lead the marketing workstream for new store openings — from pre-launch buzz through grand opening and post-opening customer acquisition.
- Coordinate launch campaigns, events, and activations across Retail Operations, Brand, Influencer, Creative, CRM, and Visual Merchandising.
- Build the playbook: document what works so the next 5, 10, 20 stores get faster and better.
4. Cross-Functional Marketing Integration
- Be the marketing point of contact for the retail business — keeping retail priorities and brand marketing aligned.
- Partner with Brand, Influencer, CRM, Growth, Creative, and Visual Merchandising to deliver integrated online-to-offline campaigns.
- Establish the briefs, timelines, and workflows that make all of this run smoothly.
5. Retail Marketing Infrastructure & Process Development
- Help build Cider's retail marketing operating model — the processes, templates, and tools a growing store network needs.
- Set up planning, approval, execution, and reporting workflows that scale.
6. Performance Management & Commercial Impact
- Define and track the KPIs that matter: store traffic, customer acquisition, campaign engagement, marketing-attributed sales, ROMI.
- Build a regular reporting cadence and turn data into action.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5–8 years of marketing experience, including 3+ years of direct physical retail marketing in a multi-store consumer retail environment.
- A track record of running local store marketing programs that actually drove traffic, acquisition, and sales.
- Hands-on experience leading the marketing workstream for multiple new store openings.
- Background in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or other consumer-facing specialty retail.
- Strong grasp of retail marketing fundamentals: local market planning, shopping-center partnerships, activations, community engagement, and campaign execution.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Brand, Creative, Influencer, CRM, and digital teams.
- Independent operator — you can prioritize, recommend, and move initiatives forward without a lot of day-to-day direction.
- Strong commercial acumen and a habit of tying marketing activity to measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and performance reporting.
- Willingness to travel for store openings, events, and on-the-ground retail work.
Preferred
- Experience at a digitally native brand that has expanded into physical retail.
- Experience supporting retail expansion across multiple U.S. markets.
- Familiarity with omnichannel marketing — CRM, digital acquisition, influencer, and physical retail, working together.
- Experience building retail marketing processes, playbooks, or operating frameworks.
- Experience with shopping-center marketing teams, local agencies, or experiential partners.
- Exposure to international retail marketing or store-opening initiatives.
- Comfort in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment where processes are still being built.
