Job description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented video technician with experience in camera configuration, quality control, and troubleshooting video systems remotely.
The ideal candidate should have solid skills in SSH, Linux terminal, Git, and network configuration, along with knowledge of computer hardware and video codecs. Critical thinking, a methodical approach to solving technical problems, and excellent note-taking and communication skills are essential. Experience with Linux administration and FFMPEG is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Camera configuration updates
- Camera crop, quality adjustments
- Quality controls on the video footage (looking out for video freezes, lags, short)
- Pulling footage from remote Network Video Recorders (using Teamviewer or FFMPEG)
- Troubleshooting and repairing systems remotely.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Workday in Central Standard Time (8 AM to 5 PM, flexible)
Skills to have:
- Linux terminal, SSH
- Git (Gitlab)

- Conversational English is required (internal communication with English-speaking team)
