About the role:
As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will play a critical role in sourcing, assessing, and hiring top-tier talent—primarily for engineering and technical roles. Your expertise will help drive efficient hiring cycles and reduce reliance on senior leadership to prescreen and qualify candidates.
What you'll do:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical roles, with a strong focus on software engineering, across North America and international markets.
- Develop a deep understanding of technical job requirements (e.g., frontend, backend, tech stacks) to accurately assess candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop and refine job descriptions and candidate profiles.
- Proactively source candidates through diverse platforms and strategies to build strong talent pipelines.
- Create and customize interview scorecards and live case study assessments for both new and recurring roles, incorporating feedback from hiring managers.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency on recruitment progress.
- Design and implement scalable recruitment operations, including building automations, workflows, and standardized templates in the ATS to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain and continuously improve recruitment workflows and documentation to support repeatable, data-driven, and consistent hiring practices.
What you'll need:
- 4+ years of experience in technical recruiting, ideally for software/IT roles.
- Demonstrated success recruiting for complex, senior-level technical positions (bonus if you’ve hired for sales, ops, or product too!).
- Strong understanding of engineering terminology, tech stacks, and role requirements.
- Experience creating custom assessments or case studies is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms and applicant tracking systems; experience with Lever is a plus.
- Ability to recruit across Canada, the U.S., and internationally.
- Highly proactive, organized, and self-motivated—able to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Confident working independently, owning priorities, and driving process improvements.
