GoMaterials is one of Canada's fastest-growing companies, recognized by Deloitte, the Globe & Mail, and the Lazaridis Scaleup Program. We’re revolutionizing how landscape contractors source plant and hardscape materials through a B2B marketplace that simplifies procurement in a traditionally outdated industry.
Since our inception, we have helped landscapers save time, money, and stress and plant over 1.5 million plants and trees. Led by a young and eager group of entrepreneurs, GoMaterials is aggressively expanding across North America. We are therefore looking for amazing people to add to our team!
About the Role
GoMaterials is scaling rapidly and is committed to operating as an AI-first company. We are hiring an AI Automation & Enablement Lead to identify, implement, and scale high-impact AI-driven automation and tooling across the organization. This role reports directly to the COO and works closely with the leadership team and functional owners.Your mandate is execution-focused and measurable: standardize how the company uses AI, automate high-leverage workflows, and ensure adoption translates into real ROI.

What You’ll Do

  • Find and prioritize automation opportunities by mapping workflows across Finance, Sales, HR, Ops, Engineering, and Product, focusing on repetitive, manual, or high-friction processes
  • Own end-to-end automation delivery: design, build, test, and deploy solutions using tools like Claude Code, Zapier, LLM agents, scripts, and system integrations
  • Manage our internal AI tooling ecosystem by selecting, configuring, and maintaining tools, establishing usage standards, and creating shared prompts/playbooks
  • Enable teams to use AI effectively through training, documentation, and support that translate AI capabilities into real use cases and measurable efficiency gains
  • Measure and communicate ROI by tracking time savings, cost reductions, productivity improvements, and overall business impact at the initiative and portfolio level
  • Ensure security and responsible usage by assessing risks, setting data/access controls, and promoting secure, compliant AI practices across the org

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience implementing AI-driven workflow automation with measurable business impact
  • Strong hands-on ability with AI tools (Claude Code, Zapier, etc) and automation workflows
  • Ability to build, deploy, and maintain practical automations across multiple departments
  • Experience rolling out company-wide tools and driving real adoption through role-based training
  • Clear ROI mindset: can quantify impact, track results, and prioritize based on business value
  • Comfortable operating independently with executive visibility in a fast-moving environment
