Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Product Analyst to drive data-backed product decisions and optimize user experience. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to define metrics, uncover insights, and evaluate feature performance. This role focuses on user behavior analysis, experimentation, and building scalable analytics frameworks, while also contributing to a strong data-driven culture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data analysis initiatives, driving actionable insights that influence product strategy and decision-making.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to define key metrics and evaluate product performance.
- Design and implement scalable analytical frameworks to support continuous product optimization.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on user behavior, conversion funnels, and retention to guide product roadmap decisions.
- Evaluate feature performance using A/B testing and multivariate experimentation methodologies.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights through reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a strong data-driven culture within the team.
- Maintain thorough documentation of analytical processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility.
- Stay updated with emerging analytics tools, trends, and best practices to drive innovation.
Must Have
- 3+ years of experience in Analytics, with at least 1.5+ years in Product Analytics (preferably in a tech/startup environment).
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries using CTEs, joins, and data transformations.
- Deep understanding of product metrics, user behavior analysis, cohort analysis, and A/B testing.
- Experience leading data-driven discussions and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Working knowledge of Python or R is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
- Strategic thinking with a user-centric approach to product improvements.
- Experience working in fast-paced, iterative startup environments.
Good to Have
- Exposure to large-scale data tools such as Google BigQuery or Apache Spark.
- Experience with automation tools like Google Apps Script.
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and UX principles
Bonus points if you have had exposure to-
- 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment, preferably within the Social Media, Internet B2C sector.
- Managing large scale strategic / transformation projects in your prior role
- Roles at the intersection of business, product (consumer / media), and tech
- Driving both strategic and tactical decision making
