About the Opportunity ✍️

Moonpay is looking for a Global Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team and act as a key player in ensuring MoonPay identifies and documents risks and regulatory compliance requirements. This Specialist will ensure Risk & Compliance are meeting business goals by aiding in risk assessments, RCSA’s, PRC Inventory and governance duties to ensure adherence to global regulations. Here's a breakdown of their typical responsibilities:

What you will do…

• Identifying potential risks across the organization, including financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks.

• Analyzing the likelihood and impact of these risks.

• Developing and implementing plans to mitigate or eliminate risks.

• Staying up-to-date on emerging risks and industry best practices.

• Develop and maintain a Process, Risk & Control Inventory.

• Document and assess compliance controls.

• Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Conduct Compliance Monitoring & Testing on designated areas within Compliance and the Business.

• Develop regular reporting to Senior Leadership.

• Staying informed about global trends in risk management and compliance.

• Collaborating with colleagues in different locations to ensure global compliance.

• Aid in additional Risk & Compliance responsibilities, as necessary.

What you will need…

• 3-5 years of experience in compliance.

• Professional experience in cryptocurrency required.

• Proven ability to collaborate with others, both internally and externally.

• Knowledge of global regulatory agencies and regulations .

• Experience with risk and compliance requirements in various global jurisdictions.

• Strong analytical thinker with the ability to identify and assess risks.

• Excellent problem-solver with the ability to develop and implement solutions.

• Effective communicator who can explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of regulations.
  

Bonus qualifications:

• Professional certifications (CRMP, CRCM, CCEP, etc.)

• Experience in a startup environment
