The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director with a proven track record of growing sales volume, revenue, profit and channels for consumer tech brands in Japan.

You will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with mobile carriers, distributors, and major retailers making sure to maximise the business and establish sustainable business. The Sales Director will lead sales strategies including partnership, product, channel, pricing and promotion, and sales planning short/long term forecasting. With major growth targets ahead, you will play a critical role in securing Nothing’s business success across mobile and audio products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Japan, and lead the Japan Sales team
  • Develop and implement scalable sales programs across carriers, distributors, online/offline retailers to drive measurable business results in Japan
  • Strategically engage with executive leaders who owns/influences the decisions
  • Plan and execute local promotional campaigns and initiatives that improves sales performance
  • Manage Sihan (Sell-in, Sell-through, Inventry) (per product) (per account) with accuracy
  • Analyse competitors and their products in the market for benchmarking
  • Work closely with GM, local function leads and global team to develop cohesive and aligned sales strategy for Japan

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in sales, with a strong track record with Japanese mobile carriers
  • A good understanding of sales structures and schemes, with an ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Deep knowledge of the mobile, audio and tech industries, and broad human network including C-level executives at partner companies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Results-driven, with a clear focus on achieving KPIs to drive business outcomes
  • Bilingual: fluent in Japanese and business in English
