Director, Network Strategy & Optimization

As the Director, Network Strategy & Optimization, you will be responsible for updating and optimizing the strategy for the ongoing design of the Odeko fulfillment network. You will be responsible for guiding the growth of the Odeko network of fulfillment centers, integrating new business lines, and optimizing for cost and capacity. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in operations corporate real estate, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a strong knowledge of diverse business functions and principles. You should also be able to analyze data and metrics, formulate policies, manage relationships with external partners and vendors, and solve problems creatively and effectively.

We are looking for a Director, Network Strategy & Optimization, to join our growing team reporting directly to the Senior VP of Operations, the role will assist with various operations/supply-chain matters to help Odeko grow strategically and thoughtfully in all facets of its business, including commercial contracts, and strategic partnerships and acquisitions. You’ll also work directly with leadership to build out processes enabling the business to scale effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Integration of new businesses: The Director, Network Strategy & Optimization is responsible for integrating new companies into the existing network to identify synergies to improve the incoming business and existing network through the integration. This highly cross-functional role will work with all departments as this director oversees financial, customer, tech, systems, and operational integration elements. There will be a significant focus on the system integration of the business.
  • Real Estate and Lease Planning: The Director, Network Strategy & Optimization is responsible for managing all new leases, lease renewals, and future network location planning. This role will determine what locations we need to be in to optimize costs and increase value to our customers.
  • Leading cross-functional teams: The Director, Network Strategy & Optimization may lead cross-functional teams as required in various areas, including enabling new revenue streams and improving operational efficiency as well as other others.
  • M&A operations expert: The Director, Network Strategy & Optimization will be responsible for helping to evaluate potential new acquisitions and determine the right ones to bring into the current business.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, or related field; some employers may prefer a master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience: At least ten years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics and at least five years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and strategic thinking skills; strong knowledge of operations technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of the industry’s legal rules and guidelines
  • In-depth understanding of diverse business functions and principles (e.g., supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM)
