We are seeking a dynamic and versatile associate to join our Digital Reporter (DR) Operations team. As the lead of recruitment and engagement with our gig contractors, you will be responsible for developing and fostering a vibrant and engaged community within our platform. Your primary focus will be on finding talent, building relationships, and driving user engagement. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and atmosphere of the community, ensuring it remains inclusive, supportive, and conducive to growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead gig contractor recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and integrating new candidates to the team.
  • Coordinate onboarding process for gig contractors, including facilitating training, granting access to systems, and providing necessary resources and guidance.
  • Develop and nurture the DR community by monitoring and promptly responding to concerns and questions, resolving ad-hoc issues, facilitating feedback sessions, and creating additional community-building opportunities.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of contractors, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, suggesting promotion paths, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Manage communications related to event bookings for contractors, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding scheduling, logistics, and expectations.
  • Research and foster partnerships among digital and court reporting communities, helping develop a strong presence for the company among digital and court reporters.
  • Develop onboarding and community engagement strategy to maintain quality and scalability.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience within a fast-growth, operationally-intensive company.
  • Outstanding communication skills – you’re a polished communicator who enjoys meeting and building relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Exceptional organizational skills – you excel at managing multiple tasks concurrently and coordinating complex scheduling.
  • Adaptability – you thrive in environments of change, adeptly navigating ambiguity and embracing new challenges.
  • Creative problem solver - you are not afraid to change the status quo.
  • Accountable owner - you have the ability to drive projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong interest in the legal / legal-tech industry.
  • Nice to have: recruiting experience, experience working with independent contractors and/or gig workers.

  • Candidates should be located in Austin, Atlanta, or NYC.
  • Hybrid role: requires you to be located in the location mentioned in this job posting and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
