Introduction:
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead our AR team, focusing on sophisticated billing processes and soft collections. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in legal billing or other professional services billing and a tactful approach to receivables management, particularly using Stripe or similar digital payment platforms.
Responsibilities:
Process Mastery Oversee the complete accounts receivable cycle, emphasizing legal billing practices and the use of Stripe for invoice generation, payment processing, and financial reconciliation.
Soft Collections Implement and manage soft collection strategies that maintain positive client relations while ensuring timely payment of invoices.
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of accounts receivable specialists to enhance performance, development, and job satisfaction.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that reduce the time to collect receivables and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies and handle billing issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports on accounts receivable status.
Manage cash flow forecasts related to receivables and report significant issues to management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts receivable department using technology and innovative practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of billing and financial management, including familiarity with Stripe invoicing software or equivalent.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience as a player coach, actively engaging in both strategic and day-to-day operations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and clients.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software; knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
