ServiceTitan is seeking a Senior Indirect Tax Manager to join our dynamic company. This position will report to the Head of US Domestic Tax, and will enjoy a high level of impact on a rapidly-growing tech company. ServiceTitan is a leading SaaS company providing business management software solutions to the Home Services and related verticals. The applicant will be a passionate, hard-working Tax professional with proven technical skills, strong tax and accounting background, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

• Lead Indirect Tax team

• Oversee and work with outside advisers on preparation of returns related to sales and use tax, property tax, telecom tax, telecom regulatory, foreign VAT, business licenses, and more

• Ensure compliance with all applicable sales and use tax and other indirect tax laws

• Provide advice and guidance relating to sales and use tax, VAT, and similar taxes

• Research and determine taxability of products and services and nexus issues

• Maintain and reconcile indirect tax related accounts as part of accounting close process

• Review and compute any reserves for indirect taxes

• Ensure indirect tax engines are working properly

• Assist with indirect tax audits

• Monitor and analyze existing and proposed indirect tax legislation

• Assist with indirect tax matters on M&A and other ad hoc projects

• Assist with indirect tax systems implementations and automation

• Develop, document, and maintain SOX compliance for indirect taxes

What you'll need:

• 10+ years of direct experience including public accounting and/or industry (ideally, technology)

• Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment

• Ability to quickly understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategies, and effectively communicate tax requirements

• Strong analytical capabilities and judgment

• Experience with non-US indirect tax (VAT/GST) is a plus

• Experience with telecom tax and regulatory matters is a plus

• Experience with ERP Systems (Intacct/Workday), Tax Engines (AvaTax and Avalara Communications), and/or Data Analysis (Alteryx, Tableau, Visio) is a plus

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role is between $137,000 - $196,000. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
