As a Technical Writer at Aspire Software, a ServiceTitan company, you’ll be part of the Product Management team, supporting our efforts to create engaging and effective content, including new-feature documentation, content updates, release notes, internal reference materials, help deliverables, and other customer-facing material.

The Product Management team is composed of talented product managers, product owners, and UX designers to make our products easier to use. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll contribute improvements to the content and maintenance of the Aspire Knowledge Base, as well participate in internal documentation projects as needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Produce with impact: Develop effective documentation that promotes self-service and efficiency for our end-users and internal employees
  • Identify and track: Help the team track and identify documentation areas impacted by UI changes and new features
  • Audit and optimize: Participate in audits of existing documentation to ensure optimal content structure and accuracy of content
  • Write clean and clear copy: Author easy-to-understand, customer-facing guides and help articles, working with product managers, product owners, and subject matter experts to get an in-depth understanding of the product and documentation requirements
  • Collaborate and participate: Work with the Product Management team to improve content as we enhance the customer experience through new feature releases and improvements—including release notes creation and supporting docs for all new features and improvements
  • Manage and solve for assigned areas: Project manage tasks and needs for assigned areas, including tracking and updating tasks through JIRA, Confluence and similar tools.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience in technical writing, professional editing, or grant writing (3+ years preferred)
  • Experience with software development/SaaS (2+ years preferred) or educational equivalent
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
  • Ability to organize and simplify large amounts of data and information and multi-tiered processes
  • Ability to coordinate multiple ongoing projects and documentation
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and through images/media
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technical skills with little to no guidance

Preferred skills (if you have one of the following skills, this will be a significant bonus)

  • Experience with Confluence/JIRA and Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Knowledge of Document360

Portfolio submission

Please submit a writing portfolio (3–5 writing samples) that demonstrates your ability to produce efficient and clearly written customer-facing and/or internal documentation. The portfolio should exhibit your ability to understand and implement content architecture and/or presentation of complex concepts. A diverse writing portfolio that includes online content and data visualization is preferred.

Where You’ll Work:

Our headquarters is located in St. Louis, however, we’ll be remote until the time is right to return to the office. When that happens, St. Louis-based employees will be moving to a hybrid work model (three days in office with the option to work remotely for the remaining two). Fully remote employees will be able to stay remote.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $70,000 USD - $101,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
