The Sr. Technical Portfolio Manager (TPM) will be a key leader responsible for leading our organization's portfolio of technical projects. As part of the SPO (Strategy, Planning & Operations) Leadership team within the Business Technology department, the ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive innovation, efficiency, and alignment of technology initiatives with overall organizational goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage portfolio of technical projects. Partner and coordinate with the central PMO team to align with corporate standards.

  • Track project progress and milestones using established project management tools and methodologies.

  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health and progress of each project within the portfolio.

  • Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and potential risks.

  • Proactively identify and address impediments to project success by fostering open communication within project teams.

  • Implement a feedback loop to capture and address roadblocks promptly.

  • Apply best practices for agile project delivery, ensuring projects are responsive to changing business needs.

  • Foster a culture of agility within project teams, promoting iterative development and continuous improvement.

  • Implement and refine agile processes to optimize delivery efficiency.

  • Manage scrum-of-scrums for cross-functional delivery needs, ensuring alignment between different project teams.

  • Foster a collaborative environment where team members can openly discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

  • Make prompt decisions to maintain project momentum, considering the impact on timelines and overall project goals.

  • Demonstrate a decisive leadership style, balancing the need for thorough analysis with the importance of timely decision-making.

  • Maintain high-quality Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs for SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) change control compliance.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with At least 7 years of experience in technical program management

  • 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact

  • 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery

  • Experience with managing multiple concurrent projects with different time frames.

  • Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

  • A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker

  • Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives

  • Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results

  • Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.

  • Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listening capabilities, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $85,000 USD - $122,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
