Ready to be a Titan?
ServiceTitan is looking for a Senior Integration Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-class integrations and automation workflows. This role is a key member of the Integration/Automation team and will focus primarily on the Workato platform, with exposure to MuleSoft and other middleware technologies. You will support cross-functional teams by serving as a technical resource for integrations spanning ServiceTitan, Workday, Salesforce, and ERP systems. You will architect, develop, and maintain inbound and outbound integrations that power critical business processes across Finance, Human Resources, and Operations. The ideal candidate brings deep Workato expertise, strong API and integration design skills, experience leveraging AI/ML APIs within integration workflows, and prior software development experience.
What you'll do:
Integration Development
- Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new integrations between ServiceTitan, Workday, Salesforce, ERP systems, and third-party applications using Workato as the primary integration platform
- Create technical design specifications, perform unit and system integration testing, and deploy and support all integrations end-to-end
- Understand business problems and build efficient, scalable solutions using Workato recipes, connectors, and callable recipes, supplemented by MuleSoft APIs and flows where appropriate
- Design and develop RESTful and SOAP-based API integrations, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and batch data processing workflows
- Build custom Workato connectors and actions using the Workato SDK when out-of-the-box connectors do not meet requirements
- Develop and maintain MuleSoft Anypoint APIs, flows, and DataWeave transformations for complex integration scenarios
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and document requirements, review designs, and define functional specifications
- Manage integration analysis, configuration, and deployment across development, staging, and production environments
- Lead integration projects with third-party vendors from discovery through design, development, testing, and implementation
Integration Administration & Operations
- Proactively monitor inbound and outbound data integrations, system health, job execution, error rates, alerts, and notifications across Workato and MuleSoft environments
- Build and maintain robust error handling, retry logic, and alerting mechanisms within integration recipes and flows
- Participate in platform upgrades and release reviews for Workato and MuleSoft, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with new features and connector updates
- Monitor, track, and resolve enterprise integration support tickets; collaborate with functional leads on escalated issues
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, data transformation logic, and API documentation to support the full integration deployment lifecycle
- Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report findings and remediation plans to management and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with functional leads, analysts, and system administrators on system operations, security, business processes, and how they relate to integrations
- Assume additional responsibilities as required
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the Workato and MuleSoft integration landscape, including recipe/flow patterns, connector capabilities, and platform best practices
- Maintain current knowledge of Workato and MuleSoft products, iPaaS industry trends, and agile methodology best practices
- Stay current with platform releases, new connectors, and features; evaluate their potential impact on existing integrations and recommend adoption strategies
- Be a strong contributor to the integration platform vision and drive team planning and architectural decisions
- Work with business stakeholders to identify problem areas, assess integration complexity, and determine overall project impact
- Develop and maintain the end-to-end enterprise integration strategy, including middleware selection, data flow governance, and API management
- Partner with business stakeholders and engineering team members to align on objectives and delivery programs
- Help manage timelines and deliverables within large, multi-month integration projects
- Understand data flows and system dependencies between internal systems (ServiceTitan, Workday, Salesforce, ERP), driving alignment with system owners
- Be an active participant in enterprise architecture discussions and integration governance forums
Data Management, Reporting & Audits
- Design and implement data reconciliation processes to ensure integrity across integrated systems
- Produce and review audit reports to assess integration performance, error handling effectiveness, and data quality
- Build dashboards and monitoring views within Workato and MuleSoft to provide real-time visibility into integration health
- Maintain and enhance reporting frameworks to support operational excellence and SLA compliance
- Translate business requirements into integration-driven reporting solutions and analytics
AI-Powered Integrations
- Design and implement integration workflows that leverage AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Vertex AI) to automate data enrichment, classification, and decision-making within business processes
- Build intelligent document processing pipelines using AI services for extraction, summarization, and validation of unstructured data flowing through integration workflows
- Integrate natural language processing and generative AI capabilities into Workato recipes and MuleSoft flows to enable smart routing, automated responses, and content generation
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to operationalize ML models by embedding model inference calls into production integration pipelines
- Evaluate and adopt AI-powered features within Workato (e.g., Workato Autopilot) and MuleSoft to accelerate recipe development, improve error resolution, and optimize integration performance
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML APIs, SDKs, and platform capabilities relevant to enterprise integration and automation
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integrations using iPaaS platforms (Workato required; MuleSoft strongly preferred)
- Strong experience building Workato recipes, managing workspaces, and using Workato SDK to build custom connectors
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule flows, DataWeave, API Manager, and Anypoint Studio
- Deep knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, XSLT, OAuth, and common authentication patterns
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as ServiceTitan, Workday (HCM, Finance, Payroll), Salesforce, and ERP platforms
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and database concepts for data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment automation for integration assets
- Strong understanding of integration design patterns (pub/sub, request/reply, batch, event-driven) and middleware architecture
- Knowledge of all phases of the system development lifecycle, including production support
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on technical documentation and cross-team collaboration
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively while demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Experience integrating AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI) into enterprise workflows for tasks such as data extraction, classification, or content generation
