Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Manufacturing Ownership
Own daily manufacturing performance and across throughput, build quality, and on-time delivery
Ensure alignment between production schedules, labor capacity, materials, and equipment readiness
Serve as the single point of accountability for manufacturing output
Team Leadership & Development

Lead and develop:
Engineering Technicians (assembly, testing, troubleshooting)
Production Coordinator (production planning and scheduling)
Procurement Specialist (materials sourcing and inventory management)
Establish clear accountability, roles, and performance expectations
Build a high-ownership, execution-focused culture
Production Planning & Execution
Partner with the Production Coordinator to create and execute realistic production schedules
Translate demand forecasts into actionable build plans
Identify and resolve constraints across labor, materials, and tooling
Technical Operations & Build Reliability
Oversee system assembly, testing, and validation processes
Ensure consistent build quality and repeatability across units
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of production or field issues
Partner with engineering to implement design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements
Procurement & Inventory Management
Oversee procurement to ensure timely availability of components and materials
Optimize inventory levels and reduce excess or shortages
Build scalable systems for purchasing, vendor management, and forecasting
Process Development & Scale
Design and implement SOPs for assembly, testing, and production workflows
Improve manufacturing efficiency, cycle time, and cost per unit
Build systems that scale with increasing production volume
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in manufacturing, hardware production, or operations leadership
Experience managing cross-functional teams across production, technical operations, and/or supply chain
Strong understanding of production planning, inventory, and procurement workflows
Experience in hardware assembly, robotics, or electromechanical systems preferred
Proven ability to improve throughput, quality, and operational efficiency
Hands-on leader comfortable working on the production floor
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools
Nice to Have
Startup or high-growth manufacturing experience
Background in robotics, automation, or complex hardware systems
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or DFM principles

Production is predictable and consistently meets schedule commitments
Clear ownership across technicians, planning, and procurement
Improved build quality and reduced rework or defects
Stabilized supply chain with minimal part shortages
SOPs and production systems in place to support scaling volume
