Role Description

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of the quality assurance process across Wirestock's growing product suite. This is a critical role in ensuring that the experiences we deliver both to creators and our enterprise partners are robust, stable, and high-performing. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to develop and maintain end-to-end testing strategies, combining manual and automated approaches to ensure every release meets the highest standards of reliability. As a senior team member, you'll also help shape our testing culture, mentor others, and advocate for QA best practices throughout the company.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and edge-case scenarios.
• Automation Ownership: Build and maintain test automation pipelines for frontend and backend systems using modern tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Postman).
• Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, and product managers to define testable requirements and integrate QA early in the development cycle.
• Bug Reporting & Triage: Identify, document, and track issues; lead bug triage discussions and prioritize resolution.
• Release Confidence: Validate releases, participate in sprint planning, and act as a gatekeeper for production pushes.
• Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with DevOps and engineering to catch regressions and stability issues early through logging and metrics.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain test documentation and continuously improve QA processes to adapt to product growth.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on QA experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies and test lifecycle management.
• Experience writing automated tests for frontend (React/Next.js) and backend APIs.
• Strong command of tools like Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Git, and GitHub Actions (or similar CI/CD tools).
• Familiarity with API and database testing (MongoDB/PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience working in fast-paced product teams with agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills—able to clearly report on issues and advocate for quality.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen eye for edge cases.
• High degree of ownership, self-direction, and proactivity.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing video/image-heavy platforms or media-related pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
• Understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS).
• Background in startup or fast-scaling product environments.
