Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join Wirestock’s engineering team and play a key role in building and evolving our user-facing products. This is a hands-on position focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality frontend systems at scale. You will work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver robust, performant, and maintainable solutions.

This role is ideal for an experienced frontend engineer who enjoys technical ownership, architectural thinking, and mentoring through example, without formal people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Frontend Development & Architecture

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable frontend features using modern web technologies.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions with a focus on long-term maintainability, performance, and developer experience.
• Build reusable, well-structured components and shared UI patterns across products.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through thoughtful code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver features efficiently.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API design, data contracts, and integration patterns.
• Partner with designers to implement clean, accessible, and consistent user experiences.

Quality, Performance & Reliability

• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Identify and address frontend reliability issues, edge cases, and technical debt.
• Contribute to improving testing strategies, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring practices.

Mentorship & Technical Excellence

• Act as a technical role model by sharing best practices and raising the overall frontend quality bar.
• Support colleagues through code reviews, discussions, and informal mentoring.
• Stay current with frontend trends and help evaluate new tools and approaches when appropriate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development patterns.
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture: modular systems, shared components, and design systems.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications at scale.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, browser behavior, and web standards.
• Experience collaborating closely with backend teams and working with API-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex problems, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth product environment is a plus.
• Background in micro-frontends or multi-application setups is a plus.
