WIRESTOCK is looking for a Set and Exhibit Designer to help develop practical design tools and resources supporting the planning, development, and presentation of sets, exhibits, and visual environments.

This is a short-term freelance project for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can turn their design expertise into clear, practical, and visually engaging resources.

As part of the project, you will provide fictional professional materials such as PDFs, Word documents, presentations, mood boards, sketches, layouts, visual references, templates, guides, and videos. These materials will support the evaluation and development of practical AI applications for creative and design workflows.

You will not necessarily create every type of material yourself. Specialized creative professionals may develop materials based on your direction, and you will review and evaluate the results with the Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has experience in:

  • Designing sets, exhibits, installations, and visual environments for film, television, theater, events, exhibitions, or other productions.
  • Researching scripts, themes, historical periods, styles, and visual references to develop design concepts.
  • Creating concepts, layouts, mood boards, sketches, visual references, and design presentations.
  • Translating creative concepts into practical design plans, specifications, and production resources.
  • Creating professional design documents, presentations, guides, templates, and visual materials.
  • Developing workflows and resources that support the design, planning, and production process.
  • Collaborating with directors, producers, clients, production teams, architects, fabricators, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has experience in set design, production design, exhibit design, scenic design, or a related field.
  • Has strong creative, visual, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Has a strong eye for composition, aesthetics, proportion, atmosphere, detail, and visual storytelling.
  • Can turn creative concepts into clear, practical, and visually engaging resources.
  • Can communicate design ideas through both visual and written formats.
  • Is comfortable creating presentations, mood boards, sketches, layouts, documents, templates, and visual materials.
  • Has strong creative judgment and can provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently.

Details about the project:

  • Duration: 5–7 weeks
  • Type: short-term freelance project
  • Work arrangement: fully remote
  • Schedule: flexible / self-managed, following guidance from the Project Manager
  • Payment per developed material
  • Payment methods: Payoneer or PayPal
